The 2nd European President’s Cup for Children

The 2nd European President’s Cup for Children ist a qualification tournament for European Championships.

Date: February 2 and 3, 2019
Place: Sindelfingen / Germany
Competitions: Kyorugi, Poomae, Freestyle Poomsae (+ Family Poomsae event)
Participants: Children 6 – 8 years, 9 – 11 years, 12 – 14 years (cadets)

Qualification through the 2nd European Presdident’s Cup for Children – overview:

Kyorugi Category A
6-8 years

(born 2011, 2012, 2013)

The top four (4) European Medalists qualify directly for the WTE Kids-European-Championships 2019 on December 7-8 at Glaspalast Sindelfingen/Germany
(in commemoration of the first World Championships outside Korea which took place 40 years ago at Glaspalast Sindelfingen)
9-11 years

(born 2008, 2009, 2010)

The top four (4) European Medalists qualify directly for the WTE Kids-European-Championships 2019 on December 7-8 at Glaspalast Sindelfingen
12-14 years (cadets)

(born 2005, 2006, 2007)

One (1) quota place shall be allocated for the 2019 European Cadet Championships. The best (top 1) European athlete will receive a quota place for the 2019 European Cadet Championships. If the gold medal is not won by a European athlete, then the silver medalist will obtain the quota place. If the silver medalist is not a European athlete, then the bronze medalist that lost in the semi-final from the gold medalist will take the quota place. If the bronze medalist who lost from the gold medalist is not a European, then the bronze medalist that lost from the silver medalist will obtain the quota place. If there is no European athlete in the top 4, then no quota place shall be allocated.
Poomsae Category A
6-8 years

(born 2011, 2012, 2013)

The top four (4) European Medalists qualify directly for the WTE Kids-European-Championships 2019 on December 7-8 at Glaspalast Sindelfingen
9-11 years

(born 2008, 2009, 2010)

The top four (4) European Medalists qualify directly for the WTE Kids-European-Championships 2019 on December 7-8 at Glaspalast Sindelfingen
12-14 years (cadets)

(born 2005, 2006, 2007)

The cadets will start at the WT President’s Cup Poomsae 2019 which will take place at the same time and venue as the European President’s Cup for Children; please refer to the Outline and Registration of the WT President’s Cup Poomsae   
If there are children from outside Europe among the medalists, the European Children on the following places move up and qualify (except Cadets/Kyorugi)
The children in category B do not qualify for European championships, but are welcome to take part in the European President’s Cup for Children to gain important experience.
