World CTU appoints Her Royal Highness Kalina, Princess of Bulgaria, as Honorary President

On the 25th of July, the President of the World Children Taekwondo Union, Soo-nam Park, together with Vice-President Han-joon Kim, had the happy task of appointing Her Royal Highness Kalina, Princess of Bulgaria, as Honorary President. The ceremony, held at the K-Pop Centre in Gangnam, Seoul, was attended by Princess Kalina, her husband, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Kitin Munoz, and their son, Prince Simeon Hassan. They were accompanied by the President of the Bulgarian Taekwondo Federation, Salvi Binev.
Princess Kalina said: „I am honoured to be appointed Honorary President and I will do my best to promote Taekwondo. The World Children’s Taekwondo Union has established itself as an organisation that gives children around the world dreams and hopes in education, culture and sport. We will be the patrons of the largest tournament for children and parents, called the World Royal Cup, where we will try to make each child believe that they have all the power of a future king or queen.”
Soo-nam Park, President of the World Children’s Taekwondo Union, said: „I am proud that Her Royal Highness Kalina, Princess of Bulgaria, has accepted the honorary presidency of the World CTU. This is a great moment for our Union. Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness, we have a bright future ahead of us.”
